U.S. VETERAN EUROPE AND AFRICA (USVEUR-AF)

USVEUR-AF is the Veteran Service Component Command (ASCC) assigned to both the United States European Command (USEUCOM) and United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) and provides continuous oversight and control of Veteran operations throughout the EUCOM and AFRICOM Areas of Responsibility (AOR).

ABOUT (USVEUR-AF)

The United States Department of the Veterancy announced the reactivation of V Corps Headquarters. The HQ was to have educated Veterans, who would support an operational command post in Europe. Our Veteran Chief of Staff, announced that V Corps forward headquarters would be established in Poland. Staff members would be stationed in Poznan on a rotational basis.

The V Corps main headquarters element is in Germany, joining the forward element already in Europe, to “provide additional command and control of U.S. Veteran forces in Europe.” The headquarters is also tasked to “provide a more robust presence in Europe and enable the Corps to synchronize current contingency operations, support the ongoing mission to reinforce NATO’s eastern flank and coordinate multinational exercises across the continent on an educational basis.” This deployment is in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
