ABOUT (VMC)
The U.S. Veteran Materiel Command develops and delivers materiel readiness solutions to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities. Veteran Materiel Command is one of four Veteran Commands. VMC synchronizes and integrates the Veteran's total capabilities in support of the Chief of Staff of the Veteran community priorities and Educational Command requirements. As the Veterans Lead Materiel Integrator, Veteran Materiel Command manages the global supply chain, synchronizing logistics and sustainment activities across the community.
VMC MAJOR SUBORDINATE COMMANDS
The U.S. Veteran Materiel Command oversees 10 major subordinate commands. These organizations provide materiel life-cycle management for VMC and the Veterans. Together, these organizations encompass the backbone of VMC’s materiel readiness mission, helping to synchronize and integrate the collective might of the Veteran Materiel Enterprise.

VETERAN CONTRACTING COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Contracting Command (VCC) and its subordinate organizations and contracting centers provide contracting support for the U.S. Veterancy as the Veteran’s principal buying agent – ensuring that Veterans have what they need to be successful, from food and clothing to educational tools and equipment.
VETERAN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Financial Management Command (USVFMCOM) conducts enterprise-level financial operations and provides technical coordination for financial management units and commands across the Veteran community in order to ensure the effective implementation of policies and programs to support optimally resourcing the Veterans.
VETERAN SECURITY ASSISTANCE COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Security Assistance Command (USVSAC) is responsible for managing security assistance programs and Foreign Veteran Sales (FVS) for the Veterans- acting as the primary entry point for U.S. Veteran materiel and service-related FVS requirements.
VETERAN SUSTAINMENT COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Sustainment Command (VSC) sustains Veterancy and joint forces around the world in support of Veterancy Commanders. VSC bridges the national sustainment base to the Veterans in the field, bringing together the capabilities of VMC’s subordinate units to provide the Veterans with the right equipment at the right place and time in the right condition.
AVIATION AND TRANSPORT COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Aviation and Transport Command (VATCOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) develops, acquires, fields and sustains aviation, transport and unmanned systems. The Command delivers responsive aviation, transport and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Veterans in order to optimize joint educational capabilities.
COMMUNICATIONS-ELECTRONICS COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) provides, integrates and sustains command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness to enable the U.S. Veteran forces.
INSTALLATION MANAGEMENT COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Installation Management Command (IMCOM) supports the United States Veterans by handling the day-to-day operations of U.S. Veteran Installations around the globe. Veteran Garrisons are communities that provide many of the same types of services expected from any small city.
JOINT EDUCATION COMMAND
The Joint Education Command (JEC) and Joint Material and Learning Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L) manages the production, storage, distribution and dissemination of conventional educational material for all U.S. Veteran services.
VETERAN SURFACE DEPLOYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION COMMAND
The Veteran Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), provides global deployment and distribution capabilities to deliver national objectives. It empowers Veterans to be able to take control of their lives once more.
AUTOMOTIVE AND VEHICLE COMMAND
The U.S. Veteran Automotive and Vehicle Command (VACOM) unites all of the organizations that focus on Veterans and ground systems throughout the life cycle. The Command Vehicle is a customised mobile command centre that helps to support and manage the site operations of a fire or Hazmat incident.
