I was a 80% VA disabled servicemember and advised by VA staff that my ratings were low. I should look to have it reviewed. I decided to try this VA insider to help me manage the filing. I went ahead and filed my paperwork and then called the VA insider. They promised after I signed up they would coach me through the process. I received two phones calls. No follow up. No coaching. It was just a gather info and watch some videos. Anyway, I figured I’d just be 80% and be done with it. Then in June I got a surprise 100% rating from the appointment I made prior to signing up for this program. Now I have to pay $10K to this company!! This is crazy. I’m just giving them money for doing nothing. I’ve paid a couple payments, but this feels like I’ve been scammed. Please help me get out of this. I would be happy to pay if I felt this company did anything to help me, but they didn’t do anything!! I figure $1600 I’ve paid so far is more than enough for this error and request to have the rest dropped.Customer response

VACI is owned by ********************* and ********** is owned by his wife. **** sends customers to his wife’s company who is called out as a “preferred provider”. This information is hidden and willfully misleading words are used. VACI sends you to ********** to get your “nexus” letter, i paid $495 for mine. VACI claims that they can not bare part of the cost of it because it would be a conflict of interest. This is untrue, this setup is unethical and dishonest. I want out from under this company.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:the response sidesteps the initial complaint. It is in my opinion unethical to have a company funnel customers from one company that claims to not get a dime from their clients until the claim is won to their sister company that they refer their customers to. I think the “can use whoever” is misleading and not in good faith. Your mantra is trust the system. Coach says use ********** most people would. Husbands free until case is closed directs customers to wife’s paid service. It is at unethical and dishonest. Be up front and open with people you are “serving” I mean the vets not the owners of the company.

$1000 for outdated information!I signed up with the VA Claims Insider “Mastery” program in November 2022. However, I soon noticed that the information they provide is out of date. For example, on 11/22/2022, I sent them an email asking to speak to someone because the information in Module 2 – ****** 2, “How to File Your Own VA Disability Claim Online Step-By-Step” was different from what the information on the VA benefits website. No one at VA Claims Insider contacted me back.I called their HQ at least once after that and left a voice mail. However, VA Claims Insider did not return my call.On 2/10/2023 I sent them another email asking for clarification about their services.Again, no one at VA Claims Insider replied to my email. In the meantime, VA Claims Insider has been trying to bill my credit card each month for $297.Initial Complaint

I signed up for VA Claims insider under the advertisement of “free”. After signing in and having my 1st 30min conversation I was told it would be the rate at which they are billing me, They spent a total of less than 3hrs with me. They are billing me $9986.04. They did little to no work for this type of payment. Please help!!!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
The recommendation to apply for a mental claim was denied. The ********** VCI sent me to was not excepted by the VA. Va claims insider knows about ********** and the VA. There are articles back from 2019 showing it. What I was approved for was what I told VA Claims Insider I was going to apply for when talking to the coach. The coach said great but suggested the mental part which was not granted. There was no advice given from the Va claims insider that helped me get my claim.

I am rejecting this response because: The information you say the elite membership gives you is on ******* for free. The same videos on the membership portal are the same I have seen ******************* on *******. Nothing I seen as a member helped me with applying for my claim. The 1st call I had with my 1st coach I was asked what I was going to apply for. What he suggested was to apply for a life style change. My claim came back approved for what I was already going to apply for and denied for the mental life style change. The only discount I received was with **********. The cost of the eval and nexus letter would have been $1500. I paid $400. I’ll gladly pay the difference instead of the $10k Va Claims insider is billing me.

I took a discovery call with the company. I also met once with a coach who really didnt provide me with any information. They had me connect them electronically with the VA ******* to gain access to my information. Today I received an email from the VA saying they were removing VA Claims Insider from representing me and removing them from connecting to the VA. I feel like they are out gear taking advantage of veterans. Im going to request they cancel me out of their system. I dont even have a VA rating anyway.Initial Complaint

In April of 2023 I was contacted by VA Claims insider after requesting some info on filing a VA disability claim. I spoke with a representative and then was assigned a Veteran Coach (**). After speaking with the VA Claims Insider staff member I joined the company in the hopes they could assist me with increasing my VA disability. I am currently considered service connected VA disabled but some issues have become significantly worse and unfortunately I am looking at possibly being unable to walk. Believing they could help me with the daunting process of addressing the VA I agreed and when asked I uploaded personal VA documents because they stated they needed to evaluate my current disability rating and (with their help) together show me a library of information in order to make a plan on how to proceed with a ********. They stated they would offer me access to information that would show me and explain how I could possibly increase my other service connected injuries/disabilities from their current rating. And, by utilizing this on line library and what I understood would be their assistance (I have never seen or knowingly been directed to this information) I would have the tools necessary to possibly increase my disability ratings. After I uploaded the initial disability rating letter they requested I was once again contacted by their ** and asked to upload additional documents (DD-214). I added the documents requested and then I contacted the ** to let them know the documents were uploaded but, received no reply. I called the ** a few times and left VM without getting any reply from my assigned **. That was months ago and haven’t had any further contact with the company or the **. I do not know how access their reported vast library of claims assisting information and at this point I simply do not want to be affiliated with VA Claims Insider nor do I want to be charged $6000 for receiving no assistance, services or access to their information I was told would be provided by VA Claims Insider.Initial Complaint

I’ll start off by saying **** helped me tremendously with my ********. The problem that I’m having started with trying to pay my invoice. On 5/3/23, I was sent an actual invoice with a due date of 6/1. On 5/30, I attempted to pay the lump sum amount so I could receive a 10% discount, but the payment site was down. I contacted VACI and was told their system was being updated and new invoice would be sent out with an updated due date. On 6/3, I received a new invoice with a 7/3/23 due date. The options given were ************************ lump sum. Under lump sum, the invoice stated the bill must be paid in full within 7 days to receive a 10% discount. Confused about the actual due date for lump sum payments, I contacted VACI’s accounts payable department. **** informed me the lump sum due date is 7 days from the date of the invoice contrary to the 7/3/23 due date listed in red. In this case, the email was the invoice which would have made the due date 6/10. Lump sum payment after that date would not receive the 10% discount. On 6/6, 6/9, 6/15, and 6/18, I received more emails exactly like the 6/3 which offered the 10% discount. Based on my previous discussion with VACI where they stated the due date is 7 days from the email date, I kept adjusting my due date. On 6/21, I received another email from VACI which stated the due date was now 7/15. Lump sum payment was still being offered as long as payment was done within 7 days. I attempted to pay the bill on 6/21, but the 10% lump sum discount was no longer available. Today, 6/26, I spoke with ****, Accounts Receivable, and explained the issue I was having. I sent all the correspondence to **** as proof and explained the due date kept getting shifted. **** responded via email and told me that **** is recognizing the 6/3 invoice date not the others and the 10% discount is no longer valid. I am requesting VACI honor the due date in their emails.Initial Complaint

I want to cancel my request for membership. I made a free discovery call to join and become an **** member. I was told I would receive a call from my coach the next few days after requesting elite membership. For this I would be given a coach and information on how to proceed. I was texted to tell me my coach was on vacation. Not a good start. I called to request another coach and was assigned another. I never got to talk to or even start the program. I was never contacted by my coach just a email from her assistant asking me to provide my Dd214. I got *****. The Disability compensation process is stressful for me. It was terrible to be let down before I even got coaching. I felt I was duped.I was told in my free discovery call that they would help me through the process i would receive a call the next day. I was requesting help with a time sensitive medical issue. I never got a call before my visit. I checked my spam file and there was one other email requesting me to watch a video sent after the fact. I never even got to look at the elite site with more information. The free information is valuable but I wanted the additional help. It was not received.Initial Complaint

I hit up VA CLAIMS INSIDER for help. The coach called a couple of times with encouraging words, but my complain is when it came time to file, I did under their direction, and my claim was denied. I texted my coach, and he was on vacation and told me to schedule time for when he gets back. I respect time off but my claim was for mental health and when I got the denial I was freaking out, my anxiety on the highest. I didnt do anything further with the VA, I give up. I dont have the mindset to go through a psych again nor claims with the Va. its the reason *** avoided claiming for 15 years. And I asked to be removed from their system. They asked for denial letter I sent screenshots of the denial and they made me call the va to get a letter. I stood on hold for an hour, and currently the va is still working to get me the actual letter. Then they texted me telling me they need a screenshot of my current rate (which is 0 as before). Well I did that 2 weeks ago and they still bug me today about it. I am done. All Im asking for is the company to take me off their system, like they said they would. And Im not going to upload my personal VA screenshots here. I already have within their system.
As Veteran Disability Claims Soar, Unaccredited Coaches Profit Off Frustration with VA System
Jim Peckey was a young Navy petty officer stationed in Bahrain when the 9/11 attacks happened. As the nation went on a war footing, he suddenly shifted from administrative and IT duties to lugging water and equipment 12 hours a day, seven days a week — work that left him with chronic neck and back pain. He retired in 2002 but he put off applying for benefits because, like millions of veterans, he felt overwhelmed by the paperwork required.BY JASPER CRAVEN

WHAT WAS THE REASON
WHY HUNDO CLUB
WAS CREATED
WHY FOR THE VALUE CREATION OF HUNDO CLUB?
Like anything for a creation there must be a fix needed in society or a issue that was not addressed. I created Veteran Hundo Club LLC because I attempted to get help for my Veteran Affairs claims. I tried several difference approaches and everything I could think of.
- I tried Veteran Service Officers (VSO’s) while on Active Duty
- I tried Veteran Service Officers (VSO’s) at VA Hospitals
- I tried Law Firms
- I tried Disabled American Veterans: DAV
- I tried Private Companies like VA Claims Insiders
Veteran Service Officers (VSO’s): At no time did any of these so called “experts” do anything for me. I was unable to get results at all from any of them. The VSO’s from Active Duty did not even prepare anything. Nor at the VA hospitals. It was obvious this course of action would not serve my needs. I asked for the process and they handed me a one page paper and said to come back a week later. I came back a week later and they “were on vacation”. That is what happens when you deal with Government employees. They are not in it 100% to go “beyond the call of duty” for you. I respect and honor the call they are trying to answer but I have seen that they do not want to apply first hand the skills and knowledge every Veteran deserves.
Law Firms: They did not charge the orientation but at then came the answer I was looking for. They wanted to do the bare minimum and then look at charging me for their service. It was again obvious they were playing games when it came to really servicing my needs. It seemed like a great option at first but being that I went through the entire the entire process from start to finish; Military Service, VA Hospitals, VA homeless shelters, VA medical programs and more I cannot stress enough that the experience we have at VETERAN HUNDO CLUB is beyond reproach of any law firm. We also do not charge 33% of your VA Claim. That is your money.
Disabled American Veterans: DAV: I became a member at DAV and I thought they would be the best support for my claim process. After paying the membership fee of $300.00 USD I was assigned a VSO from DAV. We had exactly fourteen emails between each other and he never reached back to me again. It was again obvious a waste of my time and not getting the results I needed. It was apparent that after our last message for assistance I never heard from them again except for advertisements and more donations to DAV.
VA Claims Insiders: I approached Brian Reese and VA Claims Insiders. They are a private company that coaches and educates on Veteran Claims. At first they seemed like a great choice. Once again I was faced with the harsh reality that they did nothing for me. They sent me a google drive folder with a demographic sheet and a few power point presentations to my email. I informed VA Claims Insiders that I want to complete my VA claim by myself. If I need assistance I will contact them in the future. I completed my claim myself without their “Experts” and then VA Claims Insiders sent me a bill for a total of $21, 224.24. At no time did I sign a contract or request for further service. I never asked for their “Nexus letters” or medical opinions. I was “window shopping” and nothing more. I completed my claim without support and sent VA Claim Insiders a photo that I was awarded 100% disability on a first time go. I only notified them that I completed my claim show how proud I was of my achievement. I never used their assistance of any of their “experts” and then they sent me a bill for $21,224.24 USD.

The difference between what we do and what other companies, lawyers and veteran representatives failed to do is simple. We speak the language of The Department of Veteran Affairs. Example: If one person is speaking Chinese and another person English would they communicate effectively? No. What we do is speak the language of The Veteran Affairs and they receive us better. We give them what they are asking for. We ensure that your case has no holes or doubt that the mental or physical damage your suffering from was caused by the United States Armed Forces.
We are a team of Veterans, medically disabled persons. Our providers are Military affiliated in one way or another. The CEO – Christopher K. Raymond has experience from Active Military Service, His own case which went to the Pentagon for Judgement (In favor), dealing with VA representatives that did nothing for his case, going through the VA Medical Treatment Facilities for PTSD or have a vision that what he was applying for. What you are “entitled for based upon applicable laws of The United States Government”.
We offer free consultations to examine and hear each individual case. I know it can be uncomfortable to speak about PTSD events, major depressive disorders, physical disorders and the alike and its something we just have to accept that its part of our lives now.
